Our World

With a legacy of 30 years’ expertise in Defense and Space, HEMERIA was founded in July 2019 after the historical shareholders decided to transfer NEXEYA to a foreign group and to refocus the strategy on sovereign activities.

From the ocean depths to the infinity of space, we assist our customers with the deployment of their tactical missions in complex environments in response to strategic challenges, and help them contribute to a safer, fairer and more sustainable world.

In Defense, we design and manufacture embedded electronic equipment for the Strategic Deterrent Force and electro-optical tracking systems for flight test centers. We also provide through-life support for strategic assets to guarantee optimal operational readiness.

In Space, HEMERIA is above all a long-standing benchmark player in Europe, supplying composite panels, electrical harnesses and thermal protections for most LEO and GEO satellites of major prime contractors. Through this experience, HEMERIA has also become the federator of the French smallsats industry. In cooperation with the French space agency CNES, we produced ANGELS, the first French industrial smallsat successfully thrust into orbit in 2019, a project that launched the industrial smallsat adventure in France. Today, many other projects are under way, including the 25-smallsat IoT constellation for KINEIS.

In 2022, HEMERIA strengthens its activity with the acquisition of CNIM Air Space which becomes HEMERIA AIRSHIP, leader European stratospheric, tethered and maneuvering aerostats.

Leveraging our unique and all-round expertise, we supply dependable, innovative and competitive products to our institutional and commercial customers in France and the rest of the world.

At HEMERIA, we make non-discrimination a reality and skills are the only criteria we take into account for our employees to access and stay in the job that suits them, and advance their career with us.
Employee health is our priority and we make every effort to protect it. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide all the equipment (face masks, sanitizer, gloves, etc.) and solutions (home-working) necessary to physically protect our staff. In these challenging times, Executive Management, managers and Human Resources also pay special attention to the mental health of our staff and organize regular surveys of their well-being.

Committed to the environment

Aware of the environmental challenges we face, we have rolled out several projects to reduce the company’s power consumption. We have also developed a paperless policy in business management and production in order to substantially reduce our use of paper.

Committed to supporting local stakeholders

Whenever possible, we work with local suppliers in order to support the local fabric and reduce our carbon footprint. HEMERIA also partners with local business schools and actively participates in community life, as recently illustrated with the funding of a children’s playground in a neighborhood in Toulouse.

Contributing to the international outreach of French Defense and Space expertise is one of our commitments. That’s why HEMERIA belongs to several business clusters or associations such as Alliance Newspace, CEPS, Club Galaxie, GICAT, GIFAS, GIE NRBC, the International Academy of Astronautics, Newspace Factory and the SpacEarth Initiative, aimed at promoting French excellence abroad and developing exports.
